books, books, books!
Sep. 29th, 2004 10:52 pmWent to the library after dinner. (Because I slept all afternoon.)
Picked up:
The Count of Monte Cristo (It's fucking HUGE! What have I DONE?)
Two-Part Invention: the Story of a Marriage
I Took My Frog to the Library (With a title like that, how could I resist?)
The Amazing Adventures of the Escapist, Vol. 1
Unexpected Magic
Fines were only seventy-five cents, but I have no money now because of that darn sale shelf.
Bought:
The Truth About Stone Hollow
Bloomability
The Ear, the Eye, and The Arm
Nightmare Hall: The Wish
More Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (for the pictures, natch)
I've only got to find the last Scary Stories book there to get the whole set..
I interrupted the book I was reading about teaching poetry in nursing homes for the picture book and Bloomability, which is by Sharon Creech. Not regretting it, either.
