Still no sleep. Bad judgment abounds, though I did manage to get some stuff in the mail that was urgent over a week ago..

Bad judgment?
Well, here are some poems I wrote recently. Tell me how bad they are, so I can erase this when I wake up.

Fall (with red tabby kitten)

Autumn here is the coldest fire.
Everything seems orange-tinted.
I remember Sassy's first autumn..
lying under the picture window
watching her watch the leaves
as they fell.
She was fascinated!
You could tell how she wanted to
jump, chase, catch them..
she would have blended right in.



No telling

Some things you just never want to talk about.
Of course, there are things you just forget.
But I mean the really secret secrets.
Like, once I had this dream,
and it was.. something special.
And I was going to talk about it
but something stopped me.
Maybe I wrote about it in my diary.
What if I told and it didn't happen?
Isn't that silly?
I'm silly.

I've only got to find the last Scary Stories book there to get the whole set..

I interrupted the book I was reading about teaching poetry in nursing homes for the picture book and Bloomability, which is by Sharon Creech. Not regretting it, either.
