Why, he asks, as if I'm going to launch into some detailed scientific explanation as to why I've been bleeding for two and a half months; when all I really want is to have someone to listen while I explain that I'm constantly dizzy and tired and smelly and scared, that I'm afraid to go to the doctor because of the needles and I don't know how I'm going to pay because I can't afford my health insurance anymore..
But we don't go into that.
