still my birthday
Aug. 10th, 2004 04:13 pmMy father dropped me off at the hair place before he took his mother to the dentist. I was told there would be half an hour to wait, so I went up to the pet store and looked at the adoptable kitties (one licked my finger!) and said hi to a gecko and looked at the cute rodents and the weasels being funny. It hadn't been half an hour when I got back, but the wait wasn't long.
She said I was getting enough hair cut off to donate to Locks of Love, so I said go for it. She said it was something like 10 inches. So yeah, I have shoulder-length hair again! My head feels very light.
Went to the dollar store and got a bunch of hair thingies and a cute little flashlight shaped like a blue hippo--you squeeze the trigger-thing on its back, its mouth opens up and the light goes on. To goofy to resist.
Then we took Nana home, and stopped at the house for the DVDs I got from Rona and my father--they were three Universal monster movie collections with some Van Helsing tie-in--so we could trade them in.
Went to the library, got two books, saw CLG and his sidekick Cute Librarian Chick.
Went to K-Mart, replaced the DVDs with a "Storyteller" collection, Unbreakable, The Ninth Gate paired with Stir of Echoes (which I've heard is good), and a copy of Street Fighter with Sonny Chiba. Plus a pack of blank CDs.
Then I got the last part of my birthday treat for myself, a chocolate milkshake with chocolate ice cream fron Baskin-Robins.
Now I'm wiped out. I'll check my friends page later, okay?
Love you.
