I utterly scored this year.

As you know, I woke up too early. But soon Jeffrey got online and I opened the wrapped presents that came in yesterday's package. I got books (including Richard Brautigan!) and a weird CD called Froggy Style and the movie Bound and "Smallville" comics. The art kind of sucks but there are neat pics of Lex in them.

Then I went back to bed.

My father liked his Ogden Nash book, and Rona was happy because I got her an anthology of old SF stories.

They gave me lovely dark purple bookcloth, beautiful marbled paper, linen sewing tape (which I was running out of) and a book by Daniel Pinkwater!

Everybody else seemed to like their presents too.. and I think I even managed to get books nobody had yet. Everyone got books. Zena seemed happy with her pink book journal with pink pens to write in it.

In addition to goofy socks, I gave Steve three books: Bright Lights, Big City (which he may or may not like), Rules of Attraction (which he will probably dig) and The Man who Fell to Earth (who knows? Haven't read it).

Last year Steve gave me a Vash the Stampede action figure (if you check back, there are pictures), this year he gave me Trigun manga! As soon as I'm done reading his Fangoria, I'm all over that bad boy.

Pete and Cindi and the kids gave me a papermaking kit, plus a beaded bracelet with a fairy charm Cindi made for me.

I feel rich.

Though I would probably feel richer if I didn't have to use some of my christmas money on new underwear.
