1. What were your favorite childhood stories?
Oh, you know.. Winnie-The-Pooh and House at Pooh Corner.. Jungle Book.. Just So Stories.. and some picture books having to do with dragons. My father read the Pooh books so much he had them memorized, and would recite them on long walks with us.
2. What books from your childhood would you like to share with [your] children?
Pooh! Most of them, really. I had great books. Still do, mostly.
3. Have you re-read any of those childhood stories and been surprised by anything?
Yeah, there's a lot of great humor still in the Pooh books. Great art and stuff in my old picture books, too.
4. How old were you when you first learned to read?
Umm.. four, I guess.
5. Do you remember the first 'grown-up' book you read? How old were you?
I really can't remember. I know I read The Hobbit when I was five, and a Star Wars novelization of some sort before I was seven.. I just read, you know? Mmmmm.. books.

current words: Double Fold, Nicholson Baker, plus some Lovecraft and I'm still plowing through the Crowley. Only so much of his crap I can take at a time, though.
