honeymonsterAm I about due for one of those "geez nobody reads this what the fuck am I doing" entries? I would be if this wasn't just another catharsis exercise for me.
Mother's Day is.
For me, I wish it wasn't. Being without a mother or even a strong female role model, and not planning to have children myself, this is a useless and depressing holiday.
I understand that not everyone feels this way, and I don't want them to. I just want to be left out of it. At least it would be nice not to get all of that fucking spam about "great presents for mom!"
Fondest memory of mother's day: I was 21 and my uncle and I drank a lot of wine at brunch and I got so I couldn't walk right, so it was a fun day. Can't drink anymore. Feh.
