The PAIN..
Dec. 18th, 2002 11:42 pmOkay.. I did not notice the crummy holiday music or the pain in my head.. the pain in my leg and back drowned them out quite nicely.
But if I can get to the dollar store this week, my shopping is done. Hallelujah, it's a christmas miracle, as Eek the Cat would say.
For Steve, I got a set of cooking pots. For the kids and Cindi, books. For Pete, drawing pencils and an eraser. For my father and Rona, a "Rocky and Bullwinkle" book.
Plus I got cute wrapping paper and tags.
This took hours.
Ever since they took my two favorite stores out of that place, I don't like it much. I really miss the awesome independent bookstore. I loved that place with a fiery passion. No other bookstore compares, either.
Anyhoo, we came home, I took four extra strength tylenol, we ate dinner, I took some benadryl and went to bed. (Where I had shopping nightmares.)
An exciting day for somebody who hardly ever leaves the house.
