So, I've read most of The Collected Poems of Carl Sandburg (all I could get into) and there was some really good stuff in there. I'll probably post some of them, too.
I've started copying my favorites into a cheap but pretty blank book I bought before I started making my own. I figure it's as good a place as any to keep poems from library books until I can afford copies of them.
Last night we had a big thunderstorm and once again I was pulled out to watch it. If I'm not in a car or having to walk home from work, I love these hard downpours so much it startles me..
I'm reading both Thinner and Rewrites right now. I started re-reading the King book before I was able to get to the library, but at the same time the Simon memoir is so good I'm already halfway through. This is the kind of problem I can deal with. ;>
