Mar. 7th, 2001 03:55 amTonight I tried something new. See, last week before "Iron Chef" there was a show where a guy was cooking steak. And he said to let it rest. Now, I keep hearing this from people on the food network, but my father does most of the cooking and he absolutely refuses to do it. But tonight we had steak and I was making my own, so before I ate it I covered it and let it sit for three minutes.
It was great! There was a hell of a lot less blood on my plate.. there was no cold spot in the middle.. and the edges of the steak weren't all dry-feeling. I heartily recommend trying this. Just felt like sharing.. :^P
