books

These are the mini books I made yesterday with a Klutz book (called, oddly enough, Making Mini Books) I got off ebay:
The dragonfly one was the hardest to do, though the tacky purse-looking thing wasn't easy either. The buggy books are just tied with floss.

Today I bought my first new pair of shoes in six years, because my old happy purple suede sneakers are dead on their soles.

We went to a shoe warehouse. Everything was 50% off. There were no signs as to departments. I think it's going out of business.. the location kind of sucks.

Anyway, it was kind of scary. I couldn't really see anything I wanted, and I was lost as to where things were.

And then I walked into the women's section. Holy shit, I think the "woman" part of my brain is broken. Either that, or these really were the ugliest shoes on the planet. For christ's sake, what is the point of sneakers with nothing covering the back of your heel?

And I didn't like high heels that much even before I couldn't walk on them, but green and gold pinstripes? Jesus wept.

I think I scared the kid who tried to help me. I tried on three things, all men's utilitarian looking things. He tried to steer me toward a woman's sneaker. It was turquoise and pink.

Anyway, now I have some nice black and brown men's Sketchers. But I hate shopping for shoes.
