I found today that my link blog has been shortlisted as having one of the best icons on the server. At first I was flattered (if a bit confused.. it's a reference to an old comic book character and scanned from the comic), but having seen the competition, it seems a dubious honor, at best.

I was dreaming about arguing against The Rapture with stubborn True Believers ("Show me where it says in the Bible..") when Cupcake woke me by sticking her nose into the small of my back.

Then she climbed onto my chest and demanded attention. Thank goodness for cats.

Sometimes I need a swift kick in the ass to remind me that the world does not revolve around my problems.

But then, when I get it, I feel guilty that I'm not in a position to help anyone.
