She's always soothing you so tense
You do the job she knows the fence
You wanna buy but she just rents
You, seven minutes more or less..
Just baked these.. mmmmm nummy!
I've been raiding the kids' bookshelves for reading material. Today I found one of the "Series of Unfortunate Events" books by Lemony Snicket (gee, wonder if that's his real name? :^P). I've been interested in this series since I read a review of one of the books. Sadly, the book I read was not as good as I'd hoped. The concept is a parody of those kids' series where the same group of children repeatedly find themselves in danger. Bad things happen to these children, and nothing gets better for long. I didn't find the story very funny, and all of the instances where words are explained with definitions that only pertain to the story or are just misleading got on my nerves. If you want to give a kid a goofy book, there are better options. Daniel Pinkwater comes to mind.
