Yesterday I finished reading Midnight Robber by Nalo Hopkinson. Earlier last week I read her first book, but I liked this one much better. For one thing, the concept (the whole science fiction part) was a lot more interesting. Also, the story compelled me more. The ending was a bit too open-ended for my taste, but hey! Room for a sequel..
I noticed that even though the main characters in her books are straight, Hopkinson puts something about being gay or bisexual being completely the norm in her future societies. While I admire that, it seemed sort of forced in the first book.
In between the two Hopkinson books I read six books by Lloyd Alexander and a large book on urban legends. All pretty good.
