So I got bloodwork done about 3 weeks ago, and it turns out I'm pre-diabetic. Apparently the solution to this is to lose weight, and to that end I am doing all sorts of shit that makes me think about food CONSTANTLY.
I have quit soda and coffee, and switched to light prune juice. I changed my breakfast entirely. I am trying to exercise, which is really tough because of my back and all. I am going to miss chocolate so much.
My doctor set me up with this online seminar which is supposed to help. So far all I've done is write down every single thing I've eaten and record my pathetic attempts at exercise.
But I'm stubborn as hell, and I'll do whatever it takes to avoid needles, so I guess we'll see.

Lots of veggies, zero starches, and a bit of meat seems to be working for us.
