I feel kinda yucky and I need to lay down, but here's the rundown: my wisdom teeth are gone.
Yesterday I got to the oral surgeon's office, hungry as hell, and was told that since they were only doing laughing gas I could have eaten.
"You could have mentioned that."
"Oh, it's on the sheet."
All I saw on the sheet was the part that says if I eat or drink anything after midnight the surgery will be cancelled and I'll owe them a hundred bucks.
Then we are heading down the hall to where my teeth get ripped out and the assistant tells me that Rona didn't have to drive me, I could have come alone.
"Nobody mentioned that."
"It says here we did."
ANYhow. There was too much gas at first, which probably made it less traumatic when he stuck the needle into the top of my jaw. I liked the gas because I did not think about anything when I was on it, just drifted. Except when my teeth were being pulled, of course. It is hard to NOT to think about that.
It took a long time for the bleeding to stop. I was still drooling blood in my sleep at 3:30 this morning, but it seemed to have stopped by noon.
I finally have the right medication.
I'm not allowed to use a straw, and I'm supposed to rinse my mouth a lot but I'm not allowed to spit.
My head feels weird, I gotta go.
