My recipe notebook is falling apart. I can't say this comes as a surprise--the damn thing's over 11 years old, after all--but it does mean I have to replace it. I think I'm going to make a book for just that purpose. I'm trying to figure out if I should go with lined pages or not. Plus I'll have to cover the whole thing, not just the spine, with bookcloth, so what color would I like best on a kitchen shelf?

I guess I'll miss the beat-up old thing.. with its disgustingly pink color, stains on the pages, comic strips taped to the cover..
