on a lighter note..
Sep. 11th, 2001 09:40 pmLooks like Steve won the "Find that Flick" at Joe Bob Briggs' website a while ago.. I had forgotten all about that one! :>
Week 48 - Rex Cole of Encinitas, California wrote: "It's some sort of werewolf flick. Whether or not it's one of the 'Howling' sequels I'm not sure, but I don't have the time to research through the 47 sequels that were made on it. What i remember is a group of people in a forested area, I think (don't quote me) performing surgery on a baby werewolf thingie (or something to that degree) in their tent. The s#%t hits the fan when mama werewolf thingie shows up (who's HUGE, b.t.w.), reminiscent of the mutated bear in John Frankenheimer's classic 'The Prophecy.' I remember watching it at my grandma's w/my cousin when I was a about 8 or 9 (I'm 18 now), and particularly remember my cousin going apes@#t, yelling at the screen for the people to leave the baby alone. Then our grandma made us turn it off. It's been buggin' the hell out of me all this time. It looked like it was made in the '80s, and my cousin claimed it was a 'Howling' sequel. I've seen the first 4 or so (the 1st is a masterpiece), and nothing matches up. Can anybody out there help me?"
We received five correct answers, so our winner was chosen by drawing ... Steve Clark of Perkasie, Pennsylvania: "Might be Howling III: The Marsupials. The giant wolf-thing is actually the 'Great Werewolf Spirit' or something."
