Sep. 11th, 2001 08:40 pmI first saw it on BBC America. The people celebrating in the streets. Have you seen this? Thousands of our civilians are dead, and these people are partying. This is not a reaction I could imagine having, no matter who was attacked. It makes me feel dead inside.
I went to sleep, and when I woke up our country had been viciously and efficiently attacked by an unknown force. All I can muster is shock, grief, and frustration. There is no-one yet to be angry at, except these far-away revelers. I have family in NYC. My little brother was eating cheesecake at the top of one of the towers only a few months ago. What if they had chosen that day?
"It's either mean or it's arbitrary, and either way I've got the heebie-jeebies."
My father is a big fan of conspiracy theories. He also predicts a rough night for any arabs in this country. But please, people.. don't make this worse.
Nothing seems worth it.
