I'ma tell you about some movies..
Apr. 2nd, 2013 12:10 amWeekend before last, my brother and I went to see three movies on Saturday. We saw Spring Breakers first. This is a sort of comedy/horror/action movie. It was really disturbing. There were two other adults there, and three teenagers who I think wandered in by mistake. Steve and I were the only ones laughing. Good flick.
Then we went to Dead Man Down. Well, first we went to lunch, but still. There was a good fight scene at the beginning of the movie, but then it got very bad. So we left.
The last one we saw in that theater was Olympus has Fallen. I enjoyed it more than Steve did, but it was not a very good movie. In fact, it was kind of stupid. And they need to stop putting Gerard Butler in movies.
This past weekend, we saw Hamatwala, which was silly and fun and violent. I wouldn't put it in my action collection or anything, but it was enjoyable. We also watched G.I. Joe: Retaliation. Once again, I liked it better than Steve did. We both agreed it was a massive improvement over the last one. Still, not a classic.
Back at Steve's, we watched The Awakening (Ghost movie). Well, I did. And I fast-forwarded through some of it. At a very early point, Steve wandered off to take a nap.
Saturday we tried to watch a stick-fighting movie but it was bad and didn't have enough stick fighting in it. So we watched Karate-Robo Zaborgar, which was insane but kind of awesome. I think we finished that one on Sunday.
Sunday we decided we would go to do Steve's laundry the next day because Sunday was a holiday and he had the day off. And we spent the evening watching "G.I. Joe" episodes on Netflix. Remember the one where Shipwreck was in the future and people started to melt?
It turns out the barbecue place near the laundromat isn't open on Mondays. It also turns out you shouldn't order a hamburger at a pizza joint.
Tonight I watched Julayi with subtitles, finally. The action is pretty cool and Allu Arjun is a babe, but I'm still gonna be selling it in the morning. Keep an eye out. I need money.
