I woke up and the power was out. The first thing I noticed was that the crickets seemed especially loud. Then I realized that was because the filter on the frog tank wasn't running.

I was a little freaked because I'd finished all of the food-that-doesn't-need-to-be-cooked yesterday. But the power came back in about 15 minutes, so no biggie.

I've been going through sites so I can update my fanlistings. Why does no-one understand that "lightening" is making something brighter, not electricity that comes down from the sky?

Big crash downstairs this evening. The cats have this thing with a compartment they can get into, and a platform on top of that.. they knocked it down the stairs.

Too bad for them, 'cause even if the weather wasn't fucking with me I couldn't get it back to the kitchen for them. They'll have to wait until tomorrow when Rona and my father get back.
